1. Purpose
CyberRant exists to foster professional collaboration, threat intelligence sharing, career networking, and knowledge exchange among cybersecurity professionals. All activity on the platform should support this mission. We expect users to engage respectfully, share knowledge responsibly, and uphold the standards of the cybersecurity profession.

- Sharing screenshots of Private Rants without the sender's consent.
- Attempting to de-anonymize users who have posted anonymously.

- Attempting unauthorized access to other users' accounts, data, or sessions.
- Exploiting vulnerabilities in the CyberRant platform without reporting them through responsible disclosure.
- Using Rant AI or any platform feature to generate malicious payloads, attack tooling, or exploit code targeting real systems without authorization.
Spam and Manipulation
- Posting repetitive, irrelevant, or unsolicited promotional content.

- Creating multiple accounts to evade bans or manipulate platform metrics.

Illegal Content
- Sharing content that violates applicable laws, including but not limited to child exploitation material, stolen credentials, or pirated software.
- Facilitating illegal transactions or soliciting criminal activity.
- Posting content that infringes on copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights.
3. Content Standards
When sharing security research, vulnerability disclosures, or proof-of-concept code, users must:
- Clearly label content as educational or research-related.
- Include appropriate warnings about the nature of the content.
- Follow responsible disclosure practices and not share zero-day exploits for unpatched vulnerabilities without vendor coordination.
- Not target specific individuals or organizations without authorization.
Anonymous posting is permitted for legitimate purposes such as whistleblowing or discussing sensitive workplace situations. Anonymous posting must not be used to circumvent this AUP.
4. Enforcement
Violations of this AUP are handled through a graduated enforcement process:
- Warning: For first-time or minor violations, we will issue a written warning explaining the violation and expected corrective action.
- Content Removal: Violating content may be removed without notice. You will be notified of the removal and the reason.
- Temporary Suspension: Repeated or moderate violations may result in a temporary suspension of your account, during which you cannot post, message, or interact with the platform.
- Permanent Ban: Severe or repeated violations, including any form of harassment, doxxing, or malicious attacks against other users, may result in permanent account termination.
We reserve the right to skip steps in the enforcement process for particularly severe violations. All enforcement decisions are made at our discretion.
5. Reporting Abuse
If you encounter content or behavior that violates this AUP, you can report it by:
- Using the in-app report feature on any Rant, comment, or user profile.
- Emailing support@cyberrant.org with details of the violation.
All reports are reviewed by our moderation team. We take reports seriously and will investigate promptly. Retaliation against users who file reports in good faith is itself a violation of this AUP.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this AUP as the platform evolves. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of CyberRant after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
